The Foundation seeks to promote the understanding between Chinese and other complementary healing arts, as well as mainstream medicine. Its primary goal is to introduce Traditional Chinese healing practices to Western society, stressing the use of natural medications designed to minimize the side effects of pharmaceutical drugs and to restore body functions after processing pharmaceutical drugs.
The Foundation's foremost principle is to unite the interests of professionals, sciences and community.
The Foundation supports the existing medical and healing modalities as well as increasing interest and awareness of the public about safe, natural healing methods. We concur with the desirability of change to medicine, as practiced in North America today. We seek to encourage the Model of Medical Practice, commonly used in Europe and Asia, combining natural and traditional therapies with the best of modern medical methods.
The Foundation welcomes and encourages the participation of persons now working in the field of complementary medicine, both east and west. We support the establishment of standards in education and practice to further the recognition and acceptance of Traditional Chinese Healing Arts in the mainstream.
The Foundation believes that a more "accessible" science and greater accountability will result in an increased support for research funding, which would be a benefit to all.
